One of the most frequently asked questions clients ask is, "How much does a custom closet cost?".
This is absolutely understandable. With any home improvement, a client wants to know if a project is going to fit within their budget. At Closet Solutions Florida, we believe that a custom closet can meet your budget!
Every closet we create is truly custom, so the cost can vary greatly based on a number of factors, some of which include:
Available Space
One important factor that impacts the cost of a closet system is how much you want to utilize the space available in your closet. Unfortunately, most of us can't generally control the size and shape of our closet, but we can, however, control how much of the space we wish to build-out. A small reach-in style closet will be less expensive than a large walk-in closet, simply because you can fit more storage systems, accessories (and stuff!) into a larger closet.
Ceiling Height/Shape
Other physical factors of a room, such as ceiling height, odd shaped spaces, or sloping ceilings also affect the cost of a closet. While you can't change the shape of the closet, you can impact the cost by choosing to build on more or fewer walls, building to a standard 7’ height or higher, or utilizing slopes in more complicated ways.
Storage Needs
The more you want to store and make use of every available inch of a particular space, the more costly a storage system might be.
Accessories & Design
Accessories, as well as the complexity of design, are also factors which will impact overall cost. A simple walk-in closet with just enough space for hanging clothes and some folded garments can be very moderately priced. However, you can gain more use out of a space by adding accessories such drawers, hampers, jewelry storage, mirrors, belt racks, tie racks, etc. Your simple closet then becomes a true dressing room - with a price tag to match!
Finishes
Another major factor that impacts the cost of your closet is the materials and finishes selected. Closet Solutions Florida offers over 30 melamine color choices, 14 different door or drawer face styles, and 5 different door inserts, which leads to many options for the final look and feel of your space.
Our classic materials provide a great basic color palate; however, for those looking to make more of a statement, a dark wood-grain, textured, or SuperMatte solid might be more to your liking. For doors and drawers, select from a basic melamine door, raised panel, shaker or even a glazed door with mirrored inserts. Each choice makes the closet more “you” – but can also add to the overall cost. It becomes very easy to triple the price of a custom closet without changing the design one bit by simply opting for a higher-end look.
Other enhancements, like trim, backing, and other decorative elements can turn your closet from simply functional to completely fantastic!
